Bill Maher Said to Donate $1 Million to Priorities USA Action

On Bill Maher’s comedy live stream on Yahoo! he said he would donate $1 Million Dollars (Dr. Evil Voice) to Obama’s Super Pac (Priorities USA Action)

At Priorities USA Action, we believe the stakes for protecting our country’s core values have never been higher as the far right pursues an agenda that rewards only the wealthiest few at the expense of middle class families.

We advocate for candidates who, first and foremost, support economic policies that generate American jobs and invest in the American economy.  We support candidates who believe in the importance of fairness and equal opportunity for access to health care and investing in our education infrastructure to ensure the American standard of innovation, excellence, and competition. We support candidates who promote national security polices that keep our nation secure and enhance our position as a respected world leader.

Tracy Postert uses Occupy Wall Street To Her Advantage

Click!

Here is a person being proactive in a time of revolution to better herself.

Prior to receiving her job on Wall Street Tracy Postert was struggling from being underemployed to unemployed. She wasn’t what many people were trying to stereotype as the typical “occupy wall street protester”. She had a Ph.D but like much of the rest of us the economy took it’s toll on her also.

Instead of just protesting and taking the verbal insults of “get a job” she came with a “Job Wanted” sign and resumes and eventually got that job.

Always believe, and stay strong out here.

E.R.A.S.E Racism

A movement to better education across New York

According to the U.S. Department of Education, 9% of Black students, 14% of the Hispanic students and 30% of White students on Long Island are enrolled in the top quartile of high schools, as measured by graduation rates.  Divide the high schools into 4 groups; over 90% of the blacks are in the lower 3 groups.  A culture and environment of academic achievement is not available to black students.  ERASE Racism’s Education Equity Campaign advocates for excellence in education for all students.

I feel that we all deserve an equal education no matter our address or our background. We should all be encouraged to receive an education and something like money should not be a factor in a child’s upbringing.

Allowing money (taxes) to influence who receives a higher quality/standard of education is crippling students (and people) from early on. It’s something that needs to be fixed.
