Jordan 12 “Obsidian”

12s are definitely one of my favorite Jays. We already gave you the history here but EastWest’s blog keeps us update with the next pair to come. Check out their info under the pic.

With all the hype in the game right now it’s hard to keep up with whats actually important. So were here to make sure you don’t miss whats worthy. Now we all know not every retro is really made up to actual Jordan quality standards but some do get done justice. The 12s have been having a good year with the recent release of the Playoffs and Cool Greys. June 23 Jordan Brand will be releasing the Obsidian 12s and from the look of the last two releases we should be left with a good quality sneaker in a sought after colorway. Don’t sleep. Details below.

Release Date: June 23, 2012
Style #: 130690-410
Color: Obsidian/White-French Blue-University Blue
Price: $160

Nike Air Yeezy 2

Alright mane it’s lookin like its time. I can’t get too historical on this one because were looking at living breathing history. But lets take it back to the begining.

Kanye West was the first rapper to have a heavy impact on the sneaker game with a pair of non-athletic kicks that true sneakerheads actually cared about. Yeezy considered these kicks as much of a milestone to his career as we considered them a milestone to the culture. Hopefully all the true fans and supporters will be around when history rereleases itself.

But until then lets hit the hype.

The Nike Air Yeezy 2 will be released in Wolf Grey/Pure Platinum on April 13 2012 June 9th 2012 and will retail at $250.

If I get a pair of these im rockin, hard.

F*ck that stocking sh*t.

Those wingtips hard too tho bruh. Giving yeezy a run for his money.

Air Jordan XIV

Another dope jordan release on the way so you know what that means. Time to get historical. This time we talking 1998. October 31st 1998 the Air Jordan XIV was released with a retail price of $150 and looked a little something like this.

Air Jordan 14 (XIV) Original (OG) - White / Black - Varsity Red

The design of the kicks were inspired by Michael’s Ferrari 550 M

and was made by Tinker Hatfield and Mark Smith. They were the first Jays to feature metal aglets (the plastic tip at the end of your lace) and to feature Jumpman logos that add up to the designs number. Each shoe features 7 Jumpmen.

But now for the release

March 10 2012 Jordan Brand will be releasing the Air Jordan 14 White/Sport Red-Black and they will retail at $160. Definitely one of the doper colorways and 14s are a great pair of footwear in general. Hopefully this will be the last time we see these release for a good amount of time so you might want to grab them while you can. I know I’m going for em.

Don’t forget to click those pics bruh.

Air Jordan 12 Retro Playoff

Another great release from Jordan Brand means more history for you guys. So lets get to it. 1996 held the release of on of my personal favorites.

air jordan 12 (og) · "taxi"

The Taxi XII. They were released in November 1996 and retailed for a whopping $135. In 1997 Nike launched the new sub-brand called Jordan brand making the 12s one of the first Jays to be released under Jordan Brand. Also making them the first Jays to not feature a swoosh or “Nike” logo. They were given the name taxis as the sneaker features a black and yellow portion similar to NYC taxi cabs. The kicks are modeled after the Nisshoki

(the Japanese rising sun flag), as you can see by the stitching featured in the upper and the 19th century women’s boot

as you can see by the overall shape of the sneaker. The arch features two rands (A strip of leather placed under the back part of a shoe or boot to make it level before the lifts of the heel are attached) and embossed lizard skin making the sure extremely durable and good for ballin’.

But now for the release.

April 21st 2012 Jordan Brand will be releasing the Air Jordan XII Retro Playoffs.

Air Jordan XII (12) 'Playoffs' - Release Date + Info

Definitely one of the doper 12s colorways. The kicks will reatail at $160 and will most definitely be a worthy purchase. Make sure you get yours.

Nike Air Foamposite One  Electrolime

With the hype for the galaxys still on rave status I think its time to put yall on to the the next.

Now I know the hype still got got the game on lock but these sh*ts are definitely dope. A cool new OG colorway to go along with the Metallic Reds for your collections. Hopefully they don’t do us like the Eggplants and rerelease them again in three seconds. At least give us a few years. But the kicks will be released on March 17, 2012 and will retail for $220. Definitely a dope addition to any collection.

Nike Air Foamposite One Galaxy

Alright man its almost time. But lets deal with the original. The pennys. 1997 Nike Air Foamposite One Dark Neon Royal. Innovative and dope as a moth*rfu*ker. The kicks are made of a piece of molded polyurethane and will conform to your foot the more you wear them. That means your footwear won’t lose shape or stretch out and for ni*gas who wear their kicks extreme comfort.

But I but I guesse when they said the world would end in 2012 they actually meant the sneakers are going to be f*cking rediculous.

Now we all know that these are one of the most anticipated sneakers of the year. But they gotta be spoken on. They will be realeasing on the 24th and will retail at $220. They feature an Obsidian/Anthracite-Black colorway with depiction of space surrounding the sneaker. And they glow in the f*cking dark. Perfect sneaker? I’m coppin. I pray.

UNC Spizike

Im sure the sneakerhead community is more than aware of the hype surrounding the Galaxy Foams. But before we get to that lets deal with another release on the same day

For those of you who may not know the UNC Spizikes will be releasing Febuary 24th and will retail at $175. The Spizikes were created to commemorate the “Mars Blackmon” era. Mars was a character played by Spike Lee in Jordan’s old commercials. The kicks are a mash of six different Jays. They consist of the IIIs midsole, the IVs wings, the Vs upper, the VIs tongue, the IX pull tab and the XX laser on the inner liner. The kicks are definitely amazing and will be worthy for the collection.

Retro 1 Dave White

Time for another history lesson guys. 1985. The first Air Jordan ever was released. The OGs of all OGs the Air Jordan I Black/Red.

They were given the nickname “Banned” as Jordan was fined per wear for the sneaker not matching league regulations. You can consider that the breath of life to the sneaker culture.

With that being said lets take it to the future. Feburay 11th the Air Jordan Retro I “Dave White” was released and will be released again on Febuary 24th retailing at $175.

Honestly the kicks are an amazing rendition of the ones and should carry great value after the release. For those of you who don’t know who Dave White is he is an artist from Liverpool, England who explores modern culture and objects through his art.

The kicks are defintitely dope and would be an asset in any collection.

White Cement 4

Before we get to the release lets take a trip to the past real quick. 1989. The original Air Jordan IV White Cement White/Black ( White Cement 4s were realesed).

They retailed at $110 and were dope and still are. They were retroed in 1999 and luckily for us sneakerheads they are on the way once again.

Now for the release. Febuary 18th 2012 the fours will be re-retroed and will retail at $160.

Comparable to the OGs the black speckles are less prominent and less potent but the kicks are still tight. The grey is a little deeper as well but other than that these kicks are on the money. With a little bit of age and careful wear these will be an asset to anyones sneaker collection.
