Michael Jordan’s Airwaves 1989

This is so rare I have to put a Lil B video at the end of this post. Thats just a heads up though. Below is a very rare and very old video of Jordan. Respect history and hit that play button.

Michael Jordan’s Airwaves was a tv show that aired locally on WLS-TV in the Chicago area in 1989. Local sports TV guy Jim Rose interviewed Michael Jordan in an “Oprah-style” setup, and even tapped into the audience for some one-on-one questions. This footage is the property of Chicago station WLS-TV.

R.I.P. Joe ‘Smokin’ Frazier

January 12th 1944-November 7th 2011

Joe Frazier was one of the greatest boxers to ever live. Being one of the few boxers to be able to stand toe to toe with Ali he will always be remembered as a great. Though they constantly threw jabs at each other i believe that they both had the utmost respect for one another in the end.

Beauty 20 Years in the Making

In 1993, when the Miss World Pageant was at a viewing peak, China decided that they did not want to objectify their woman the same way that the rest of the world did. The woman of Peking University rejected the pageant thus China strayed away from the event.

But it wasn’t just the Miss World Pageant, China stopped supporting pageants all together.

It wasn’t until 2002 that they entered Zhuo Ling into the Miss Universe show, and not until this year that they allowed the show to become a cultural point.

It’s great that China can now show their beautiful women to the world.

Demias Jimerson has the “Madre Hill Rule” implemented

In Demias Jimerson’s (a 6th grade running back) last game he scored 7 touchdowns. Therefore the league (Wilson Intermediate Football League in Arkansas) had to implement a rule they hadn’t used since it was created; the “Madre Hill Rule”. This rule states that if a team is up by 14 and a player has 3 or more touchdowns he can’t score anymore touchdowns. That makes sense, everyone does need to play and get the experience (I stole that from the principal Terri Bryant).

The kid is very talented, and it’s cool that he understands whats happening and is cool with it.

Next year the rule is no longer in effect (it’s only for 5th and 6th graders), so i believe his coaches aren’t too upset.

Boston Red Sox Offically Blew it

Is this still considered the curse of the Bambino? Boston has offically blown there (once) 9-game lead and now has no chance at seeing the playoffs this year.

But by losing to the Oriles last night (4-3) the Tampa Bay Rays enter the Wild Card.

Umm how do you as a player or coach let that happen?

Out of there last 20 games they won only 5.
